Numerous other regions of brain are labeled. The lateral habenula is one of the most heavily labeled regions of forebrain, with staining in both neuronal cell bodies and neuropil.23 Other regions include both neuropil and neurons in the lateral hypothalamus
and paraventricular nucleus8, 24 and the medial mammillary nucleus.28 The neurons of
both the medial septum and the diagonal band are heavily labeled.24, 28, 42 Within the brainstem, labeled cells are found in the dorsal raphe and the locus coeruleus.22, 40
