Radiation of Neck Pain

Pain can radiate to the upper limb, referred to as radicular pain. Cervical radiculopathy is pain in the neck and an upper extremity associated with abnormal neurologic findings such as sensory loss, motor loss, or diminished reflex in a corresponding nerve root. Pain may be referred to various "zones" around the neck and shoulder, depending on the cervical level affected (Fig. 26.3).
