Reboxetine (R*,R*)-2-[(2-ethoxyphenoxy)-phenyl-meth-yl]morpholine mesilate is an antidepressant that selectively inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine (► SNRI). It is claimed to have mood-lightening effects in the elderly, but it is significantly less clinically effective against the acute phase of major depressive disorders, and less acceptable relative to other new antidepressants. It is also used in the treatment of panic disorder and ADHD.
