TRPML1 (or mucolipin 1 MLN1 ) is a transmembrane protein encoded by the gene mcolnl. TRPML1 is a high-conductance nonselective cation channel that is permeable to Ca2+ and is regulated by pH changes (Raychowdhury et al., 2004).
